The full form of WBHRB is West Bengal Health Recruitment Board.

This board is established for recruitments in the health care, medical and paramedical unit. It is responsible for recommending and selecting suitable candidates for the direct recruitment for daily wages, permanent and temporary posts in the Department of Family Welfare and Health. They aim to deliver an effective and smooth run with the required amount of workforce in health care services. The government of West Bengal has the appointing authority, and the Governor has the subordinate power.

The recruitment can be done for both the temporary and permanent posts.

For most of the posts, basic educational qualifications required are, but are not limited to, Secondary education (10+2) with Physics, Biology, and Chemistry + Diploma in ECG Technology or Radiodiagnosis or ECG Technology, etc., Similarly for doctor positions MBBS and MD in the specified department is preferred. For faculty openings, a minimum qualification of Ph.D. in their required field. Most of the openings have specifications for a minimum of 2-3 years of experience, whereas some positions are open to freshers.
