About the commission
WEBSC – The West Bengal Co-operative Service Commission came into existence according to the Societies Act of the year 1983. Their office is situated at Khadya Bhawan Complex of Ghalib Street in Kolkata. This institute’s main values includes doing their functions maintaining basic principles such as honesty, transparency, faithfulness and integrity. They also follow co-operative movement meaning that it is the movement of the people, by the people and meant for the people.
Application Procedure:
For applying to any of the posts released by the AMPRI, interested candidate can visit the recruitment page of their official website. Look for the notification of the job you are interested in applying. Check for all the details given there clearly, look for the eligibility criteria like age limit, basic education qualifications, number of vacancies, whether it is a contractual basis or a permanent job, application fee if applicable, the last date for submitting your application form, etc. Once you make sure that you meet all the eligibility criteria mentioned by them, you can start with your application procedure. The only mode of application is via online on their website. Please fill up the application form clearly and upload all the mandatory documents asked by them. Finally, submit your application form.
They do not accept any incomplete applications and also do not entertain applications from candidates who do not possess any of the eligibility criteria given by them.
Mode of Selection:
For most of the jobs notified by WEBCSC, the mode of recruitment is via written test followed by an interview. They generally conduct a preliminary exam, mains exam and then an interview to recruit candidates for their commission. Once the application deadline is closed, eligible candidates would be notified through their registered email id to appear for the initial online or a written test. After clearing this initial exam, the candidates clearing the preliminary exam have to attempt the mains exam. For some positions they might conduct interview directly after the initial exam, depending on the position level and experience and other factors, once they clear the mains exam, those candidates would get an opportunity to attend the face to face interview. The final job offer is based on their cumulative performance in all those rounds. The most deserving candidates would get the job after completing their document verification.
